Best of Social Files, 2024 edition
The only 5 essays and 5 videos you’ll need to launch a winning B2B social media strategy.

Hey!
Welcome to Social Files—your no-BS guide to generating demand for your B2B product using social & content.
I have a lot of respect for you opening a newsletter about B2B content marketing, 2 days before Christmas. I’m also slightly concerned. Nevertheless, I wanted to give you some material to work with—and help you prep for 2025.
I’ve published 51 essays over the past year. I’m a little annoyed that it’s not 52. We’ll do that next year. I’ve also published 31 YouTube videos.
In those 51 essays and 31 videos is everything you could possibly need to launch a proper B2B social strategy in 2025. I could disappear into the woods for the next year, and you’d still be all set (don’t worry—I won’t).
I sorted through that content library over the weekend, and curated the 5 most helpful essays and 5 most helpful videos to get you up to speed with B2B content.
Shall we?

Whenever I tell myself I’m going to take a week off to recharge, I make it 2 days or so before getting painfully bored. I’m assuming a non-insignificant percentage of my readership also feels this way.
So I thought I’d curate a list of the best content I’ve published over the past year.
Read this, and you’ll have everything you need to win with content in 2025.
(1) How to build your Content Ecosystem — this one’s been cited by a staggering percentage of the founders I end up on sales calls with.
(2) Behind the scenes of my SaaS launch — here, I walk you through everything that went into launching my SaaS, Bluecast.
(3) Inside beehiiv’s $50M content playbook — beehiiv is a stellar example of B2B social done right, worth studying. This piece has also been brought up on many a sales call.
(4) How to launch a founder-led content motion on LinkedIn in Q4 2024 — read this, and you’ll know exactly how to attack social in Q1. I’m just gonna update the title to ‘Q1 2025’ and re-publish this in ~2 weeks.
(5) How Unify used LinkedIn to drive $2M in pipeline and 208 inbound demos — if you're raising a round in 2025, read this. This fundraise announcement playbook works so well, it’s almost not fair. You can also read Austin Hughes’s (Unify’s CEO) POV right here.
5 must-watch videos for B2B founders & marketers
(1) If I Started LinkedIn in 2025, I'd Do This — well, if I started LinkedIn in 2025, I’d follow the strategy I lay out in this video. You can’t say the title is clickbait.
(2) 7 Years of LinkedIn Advice in 31 Minutes — the title is self-explanatory. I’ve been posting content for way too long. It’s concerning. So I compressed all of the lessons I’ve picked up into a 31-minute video.
(3) How Adam Robinson Makes $24M Per Year from LinkedIn (Genius Strategy) — Adam is winning big on LinkedIn. Poster child for founder content. I made this video breaking down 3 lessons from his approach, that you can steal.
(4) How this $200M SaaS startup gets endless leads from LinkedIn & Twitter (full blueprint) — this is a video version of the beehiiv essay I quoted about. Diving deep into their content playbook.
(5) The best LinkedIn content strategy for early-stage SaaS — this is a ~1hr walkthrough of Compound’s entire founder-led content playbook. Everything.
I hope you find these helpful. I appreciate you reading my ramblings and listening to me yap about B2B marketing. I’m excited to do more of it in 2025, so I hope you're not sick of me yet.

BEFORE YOU GO…
As always, thanks for allowing me into your email inbox every week. Now, get offline and get some rest before the new year. I know, I don’t want to either. But it will be worth it when you have energy to hit 2025 hard.
